Art Advisor Pennylane Shen leads a unique seminar designed specifically for fine artists interested in developing their online presence and promoting their work in a professional and efficient way. Learn about essential artist marketing techniques for print materials, Instagram, websites and artist newsletters.
About the Presenter:
Since 2008, Pennylane Shen has offered personalized consultations, group seminars and business development through Dazed and Confucius; assisting and advising visual artists in navigating the fine art industry. Dazed and Confucius has been recognized locally through monthly seminars, and internationally across Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Pennylane holds a Master’s Degree in Visual Culture Theory from New York University and has lectured at various forums including New York, London, Toronto, Chicago and Seoul. Her publications discuss the politics of representation, race and fine art. At Langara College and Thrive Art Studio Pennylane is responsible for creating and instructing courses on art marketing, conceptual photography, and visual culture. She is currently the Western Canadian representative for the University of the Arts London in the UK, preparing students for higher education in the arts.
