Artists Talk: Diyan Achjadi and Shawn Hunt

    The artists from the Cultural Conflation exhibition discuss their work and invite the public to join in the conversation about cultural identity and appropriation in contemporary art.

    Reception with the artists and the Contemporary Art Society of Vancouver to follow the talk, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.

    Free admission. Everyone welcome to attend.

     

    ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

    Achjadi received a BFA from the Cooper Union School of Art (1993) and an MFA from Concordia University (2002). She has exhibited nationally and internationally. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, Achjadi currently lives and works in Vancouver, BC where she is faculty at the Emily Carr University.

    Hunt has a diploma in studio art from Capilano College and a BFA from the University of British Columbia. He has exhibited nationally and internationally.
