Learn more about the Richmond Art Gallery’s exhibition with a blind-led tour facilitated by Johnny (Tiger) Tai, a Richmond-based artist with sight loss and partial deafness. These unique tours allow visitors to experience contemporary art through visual and non-visual perspectives, challenging traditional ways of engaging with gallery spaces. Registration is recommended.
Please note that this event will be held in a dimly lit space and some artworks will be on the floor.
If you require accommodations such as accessible seating, ASL interpretation, or have other access needs we should be aware of, please contact us at accessibility@richmond.ca or 604-276-4143 by Friday, November 20, 2026. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and help ensure an accessible and welcoming experience for all participants.

Disability Voices: Art, Story & Belonging
The United Nations proclaimed December 3 as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of society and to raise awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of political, social, economic and cultural life.
In recognition of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the City in collaboration with Richmond Public Library, Richmond Art Gallery and Cinevolution Media Arts Society is hosting a series of free events. This series of events reflects the City of Richmond and its partners’ ongoing commitment to raising awareness of accessibility and inclusion in Richmond.
