With Amy-Claire Huestis, Omar Zubair and OWL (Orphaned Wildlife Rehab)
Join us for a storytelling performance of “The Delta Animal Resistance” children’s book, and meet with a live owl from OWL Ophaned Wildlife Rehab.
Artist Amy-Claire Huestis reads her children’s book, “The Delta Animal Resistance” and performs with sonic artist Omar Zubair in an active storytime for the audience. Learn about owls with OWL educators, and see live footage of an active barn owl nest located in Richmond.
Each family will receive a “Four Ways to Care for Birds” children’s activity book, and learn about bird-friendly actions for children:
1. Imagine how a bird sees the world.
2. Keep cats indoors.
3. Make windows safe.
4. Join the Delta Animal Resistance League.
Free admission.
Registration required due to limited spaces.
