The 14th annual Doors Open Richmond will be held online this year from June 5 to 12, 2021. During the week-long event, new videos and behind-the-scenes footage from more than 30 partner sites will be featured, including videos from the Richmond Art Gallery’s latest exhibitions.
Co-presented by Cinevolution Media Arts Society and Richmond Art Gallery, we launch the video recording of an online live-streamed talk held by the artists of UNION on May 15, 2021. Artists Nancy Lee 李南屏 and Kiran Bhumber ਕਿਰਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਭੰਬਰ share the impetus for the exhibition, the core themes that shaped the world of UNION, their history of creative collaboration, and their experience developing the project, with Cinevolution Media Arts Society’s Executive Director, Yun-Jou Chang.
This presentation includes ASL interpretation and English captions. Download a copy of the full English transcription from the ‘download’ section of this page.
ASL interpretation supported by TD Ready Commitment.
Co-presented by Richmond Art Gallery, Richmond Public Art, and Capture Photography Festival in partnership with Canada Line Public Art Program – InTransit BC, we are hosting on online tours of the photo-based art installations along the Canada Line. The works were installed as part of the 2021 Capture Photography Festival and will continue to be on display until September 30, 2021.
