Session takes place in the Richmond Cultural Centre Atrium
Vancouver and New York based artist Jade Yumang leads the final session of the Artist Mentorship Program, with a focus on building a solid artist package (artist statement, proposal, and portfolio) that you can modify for funding, exhibition or residency submissions, or for entry into a university program. He will share his experiences as a working artist to lead a conversation with workshop participants on how to maintain a practice and be a part of an artistic community.
Participation is FREE, but pre-registration is required.

Artist Bio:
Jade Yumang’s work primarily focuses on the concept of queer form through sculptural abstraction, installation, and performance. He received his MFA at Parsons The New School for Design with Departmental Honors (2012) and his BFA Honors in University of British Columbia as the top graduate (2008). He splits his time between Vancouver, BC and New York, NY. Yumang is also part of a collaborative duo, Tatlo, with Sara Jimenez and a contributing writer for ArtFile Magazine.
