Meet Steveston-based artist Alvin Jang at his home studio for an informal tour and discussion of his artworks that includes drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and digital works. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the surreal artistic world of this fascinating artist.
Two different timed sessions will be hosted on this day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. This intimate experience of the artist’s expansive art practice is limited to 5 participants at each session.
Registration is required for either 11:00 AM or 1:00 PM Tour.
$20 registration fee per person

Refunds issued only if cancelled 7 days prior to the event.
Meet-up location and map will be sent to registered participants a few days prior to the event. This spot is at a pay parking lot and Steveston bus stop, where Gallery staff will meet you and walk over to the studio with the group.
Accessibility Notice: Please be advised that access to the event venue is available exclusively via a narrow stairway. Meet-up location is approximately 2 blocks away from the artist’s home studio and will require some walking.

About the Artist:
Alvin Ngai Ping Jang 鄭毅鵬 is a Chinese-Canadian artist who has spent the past 57 years working across drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture in Vancouver and Richmond. He graduated from the Vancouver School of Art specializing in painting and printmaking. He has maintained a daily studio practice since the early 70s. He has illustrated books and has exhibited locally and internationally; selected exhibitions include Alpha Gallery, Ottawa; the Guanshanyue Gallery in Shenzhen, China; and Kaiping Art Museum in Kaiping, China. Alvin currently lives and works from his home studio in Steveston, BC.
