The Artist Salon Series returns in 2024!
Join us for this in-person artist talk and hands-on art-making social.

Exhibiting artist Yaimel López Zaldívar will introduce his practice as an artist and graphic designer, followed by a hands-on making session inspired by his works. Learn more about his artistic journey from Cuba to Canada, and how the intersecting experiences of Cuban and Canadian life has enabled him to expand his approach to art-making.

Following the artist’s visual presentation, participants will experiment with  simple monotype printmaking techniques using a printing press.  By painting and drawing on the monotype plates, participants can develop layered one-of-a-kind prints. All materials provided.

Registration is required. In-person session is not recommended for those under 16 years of age.

The first hour of this session will be recorded as a video for later viewing.

Seating limited to 24 participants. Registration is required.
