Janette Calubad

Currently based in Richmond, Janette Calubad recently immigrated to Canada from the Philippines to explore the career path of being an artist. Drawn to texture, movement, and light, Calubad hopes to transport viewers to a fantastical world through her paintings. Here she captures the clouds of British Columbia using what she describes as a “hyper-impressionistic” approach.
