Free Button Making at Richmond World Festival

September 2, 2017

The Gallery will be open during the Richmond 2017 World Festival, offering a sneak peek of our upcoming exhibition, Eternal Return, and a free button-making workshop on Saturday afternoon. The exhibition officially opens on Saturday, September 9th.

Make your own button! To celebrate World Festival, the Richmond Art Gallery breaks out their button press for kids of all ages to turn their art into a custom 2 ¼” button. This fast ‘n’ fun craft only takes a few minutes, but you can enjoy the product of it for years to come. Free drop-in, all supplies provided.

The Richmond World Festival is the City’s signature event attracting over 35,000 people in 2016.  Expanding to two days in 2017, Friday September 1 and Saturday, September 2, this festival will celebrate the city’s cultural diversity though music, food, sport and art from around the world.

Admission is free, and there will be a variety of events throughout the Richmond Cultural Centre and Minoru Park.
