Charlotte Wall’s work in this exhibition questions the nature of structural limits. The artist presents two pieces which test and examine the nature of boundaries. The viewer’s participation in the work is essential for the artist, completing the work through their presence in the space. In the gallery space, her piece Boundless Iexamines the concept of limited and clearly defined spaces and is a response to the circumstances encountered in confined spaces. Wall’s installation, Boundless II, in the Minoru window visually dissolves the exterior glass to invite the outside into the gallery. By creating a new façade for the building through the use of digital imaging, the artist comments on the necessity of and opportunity for the world to enter into institutions allowing for a combining of forces.
