Richmond Art Gallery partners with WalkRichmond and Birds Canada for a free guided walk.

Join this walk with special guests Eve Kenny from Birds Canada and Kathy Tycholis from Richmond Art Gallery.

Along the walk, Eve Kenny will share information on shoreline bird diversity and point out some of the installed bird next boxes that help preserve local bird species. Kathy Tycholis will introduce the current Art Gallery exhibition MOTHLIKE/silvery blue that highlights local shoreline habitat and ways people of all ages can help save birds.

    About our Guest Birder:
Eve Kenny (she/her) is an enthusiastic birder working as Conservation Area Interpreter with Birds Canada. She studied botany and conservation biology at the University of Victoria and found herself drawn to birding after a life-changing encounter with the brilliant Clark’s Nutcracker. She hopes to continue to work in bird conservation in a way that includes and engages local communities.

This free guided walk is for all ages and fitness levels and are led by a member of the Richmond Fitness and Wellness Association. Come connect with other walkers and birders in Richmond!
