Performance with Q&A at Doors Open Richmond

June 3, 2017

Above: Omnis Temporalis performance, April 2017.

The 10th installment of Doors Open Richmond is a free weekend-long, city-wide public celebration of heritage, culture and the arts.

Join us for shorter live performances of Omnis Temporalis which will be followed by a Q&A session for audience members to learn more about the work from the performers. Two short performances are scheduled at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm, each session lasting approximately 20 minutes each.

Omnis Temporalis is a multiform project that draws together the cartoon work of Canadian cartoonist, Seth, with contemporary classical music and performance by Vancouver-based composer, Mark Haney.  This free performance tells the story of Seth’s graphic novella George Sprott: 1894-1975 through dialogue and music.  Performing in Omnis Temporalis are Richard Newman, Dorothea Hayley, koralee, and Jovanni Sy. Music by Mark Takeshi McGregor on alto/bass flute, Marina Hasselberg on cello, and Mark Haney on double bass. Costumes by Diane Park.

Free admission.  Everyone welcome to attend.
