Stinging nettles are a rich and accessible source of minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Musqueam educator Kymberlee Stogan will share a wealth of information about nettles’ wide range of uses, including when/how to plant seeds, making nettle and mint tea, and using nettle as a salve.
Seen as an invasive weed to many newbie gardeners, this hands-on workshop will teach you how to identify, harvest, and prepare stinging nettle for various culinary and medicinal purposes. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with nature and expand your knowledge of herbal remedies.
Participants will get to sample nettle tea and take some seeds home of this easy-to-grow plant for their own gardens.
Fee: $5.00 + taxes
Limited to 20 participants
