Student Artwork: Seed Paper Installation

Ms. Porter’s students created an art installation in the main entryway of Hugh McRoberts Secondary which featured the seed-paper pollinators they had created in class.  The students created one seed-paper pollinator for every single student in the school, and students were invited to collaborate in the installation process by pinning their pollinator to the wall to create the completed artwork.  At the end of the year, the pollinators were distributed back to students to plant so the seeds would grow into new pollinator habitats. This project was made possible by a Richmond Community Foundation Impact Grant. Thanks to their support, the Richmond Art Gallery was able to partner with 3 schools, 6 artists, and 4 teachers to develop a year-long project that reached hundreds of local students and their families. Thank you!
