4:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Branscombe House, 4900 Steveston Highway

K. Ho is a queer, non-binary artist of colour. In their photographic work, K. focuses on the joy and tenderness of living in intersectional margins, telling stories about love, struggle, recognition, and self.

Setting the Table is a series of talks, performances, screenings and weave-ins that explore how different people share community and support one another. It is a showcase of LGBTQ2S artists, activists and leaders who present work on intersectional issues and allyship.

Following K.’s talk, Paige Gratland will direct the group in an activity to help weave a portion of the place setting for the Branscombe House Pride Picnic and Social in August.

The event is free and but please register.
Accessible venue, materials supplied, no weaving experience needed.

Paige would like to acknowledge that her events take place on the traditional territory of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm speaking peoples. She would also like to gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Community Resilience program. Setting the Table is presented through a partnership with the Richmond Art Gallery, the City of Richmond’s Community Social Services, Inclusion Coordination and Arts Services, Community Cultural Development.
