The Richmond Art Gallery’s Curator, Nan Capogna, provides insight and tips for visual artists seeking exhibition opportunities within the Lower Mainland.  Learn how to prepare professional art submissions and proposals.

Join us for the curator’s talk, followed by a round-table discussion of how to get started with your own professional art career in Canada.

Presenter Bio:
Nan Capogna is the Curator for the Richmond Art Gallery. Before joining Richmond Art Gallery she was a Senior Lecturer at the Schools of Architecture and Design, Wellington, NZ and the Schools Education Coordinator at City Gallery, Wellington. She has a fifteen year history with the Richmond Art Gallery as the Education and Public Programs Coordinator including nearly two years as the Interim Director/Curator. She became the Gallery’s Curator in 2010. She has a BFA from Wayne State University, and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
