Temporary Assignment

November 19 - November 30, 2012

Curator: Nan Capogna

This short exhibition is the result of a call out to artists in BC to submit proposals for temporary works that involve working on/with or against the gallery walls. The Richmond Art Gallery is tearing down the walls after twenty years of repainting every six to eight weeks. All artworks are to be removed with the dry wall during renovations. The exhibition will be documented and presented on the gallery website.

From November 15 to 18, 2012 artists work in the Gallery. Some artists will continue to work during public hours.

The Gallery is open to the public from November 19 to November 30, 2012. We will be closed from renovations from December 1, 2012 to February 2, 2012.

Visit the Richmond Art Gallery’s Facebook page to see images of the artists’ process during Temporary Assignment.
