[Indecisive]

'Leave it on the window sill, for all the world to see,
or place it on the checkerboard,
while we sip our tea.’

'Why the window sill?'

'Because,
you see...
It would go so well
with the blue outside
by the dead pear tree.'

'But there is no world to watch,
only dead branches shrouded in snowflakes,
and stars that are but traces of light
in the never-ending snow.'

'What about the stairwell?
With it's ethereal shades of pastel.'

'No one will notice.'

'Then leave it on the checkerboard,
and keep the paper porcelain to ourselves.'
