Family Sunday

1:00 – 4:00 pm
4th Sunday of every month, January – November

Free, fun, fabulous!  Family Sunday is a free drop-in art program for families to explore our exhibitions through family-focused tours, hands on art-making, and special events like storytelling or guest artist performances.  Our volunteer Family Sunday Crew lead a variety of activities geared for family members of all ages.

Everyone welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission by donation.

Featuring Guest Performances of Omnis Temporalis Music and visual art combine in this month’s session of Family Sunday.  Mark Haney leads short live theatrical performances throughout the afternoon to bring the story of comic novella George Sprott: 1894-1975 to life. Families are welcome to watch the performances, then meet the actors and musicians. Performing in Omnis Temporalis are Richard Newman, Dorothea Hayley, koralee, and Jovanni Sy. Music by Mark Takeshi McGregor on alto/bass flute, Marina Hasselberg on cello, and Mark Haney on double bass. Costumes by Diane Park. Featuring Guest Artist Sean Karemaker Join us for large collaborative drawings with artist Sean Karemaker at this month’s Family Sunday. Sean’s unique drawing style utilizes pen and ink to develop intricate drawings that tell a story.  Learn some basic techniques from the artist to work on large scroll drawings to illustrate your own stories.
