Richmond Art Gallery accepts submissions for exhibitions from artists and curators throughout the year. It is recommended that applicants review the Gallery’s exhibition history before making application.
The Gallery accepts work in all media. Proposals should include: a current CV, an artist statement, a statement of the proposed work, up to 15 images of work or 5 minutes of video. If images are not of the proposed exhibition, please indicate how they relate to the proposed work.
A check-list of required information and Richmond Art Gallery’s floor plan are available below in pdf form. Materials submitted will not be returned – please do not submit original work.
Artists will receive notice of receipt for submissions. Submissions will be kept on file for a period of up to one year for consideration.
Please note that submission selection is extremely competitive and that only a portion of our exhibition programming is comprised of proposals selected from submissions. Online submissions are not accepted.
