Peter Clair

Epogan

January 17 - February 14, 2002

For me art is a love affair between artist and a non-tangible concept. The affair begins with the artist catching glimpses of exciting, disturbing or sensuous images that originate from the finite physical world or the infinite mental world. They respond to each other, and when their emotions heave and explode they discover that they have to share an eye to see the result of their union in the form of art.

I want to express my appreciation and gratitude to the master weavers and artists who have encouraged and advised me in my art: Agnes Clair, Shirley Bear, Sylvester Augustine and the Old Masters who made art for future generations to enjoy, and who passed on the knowledge so that future generations could benefit.
