5th Annual Artist Trading Card Exhibition
    Coordinated by Kathy Tycholis

    November 26, 2010 – January 23, 2011
Closing Celebration and Trading Session: Saturday, January 22, 2011

Our annual Artist Trading Card exhibition is a display of Artist Trading Cards submitted from across Canada and around the world. This will be the 5th year the Art Gallery has organized this amazing collection. These miniature works of art are about the size of a hockey card or smaller and are "made to trade". This international art movement is intended to be an avenue for artistic exchange. All entries received that follow the guidelines will be exhibited and then traded at the "Closing Celebration" on Saturday, January 22 at 2pm.

The City of Richmond's Community Services Department presents

    Call for Expressions of Interest
    Writer-in-Residence Program
    February 6 – April 5, 2012

A trio of community organizations in the city of Richmond are joining forces to host a writer-in-residence in Spring, 2012. Richmond's Brighouse Public Library, Minoru Place Activity Centre and Arts Centre operate a few steps from each other. Located in the City Centre, a short walk from the Canada Line Station and easily accessible on transit, these three facilities exist in a veritable hub of activity in Minoru Park.

The writer-in-residence will provide advice to emerging writers through one-to-one consultations and workshops as well as outreach to diverse communities. This full-time position (35 hours/week) requires 25% of the author's time to spent on public programs or projects, leaving 75% of the work week available for creative writing.

Application deadline 5pm (PST) on January 10, 2011
