Ink Drawing with Cindy Mochizuki
July 12, 2012
Register for Course #240974
Don’t be afraid to draw! Participants will practice automatic
drawing as a way to experiment with random and spontaneous
mark-making as a starting point for drawings. Using sumi ink,
pen and bamboo brushes, participants will work independently
and collaboratively on small and large-scale works through a
series of drawing exercises that will encourage improvisation
and play.

Classical Realism with Mandy Boursicot
July 26, 2012
Register for Course #241113
Students are introduced to the fundamentals of fine art
drawing in the classical academic tradition. Working from
master copies, students will complete one graphite drawing
of their choice to a well-resolved finish. Mandy Boursicot will
guide you through conceptualizing form, establishing a shadow
pattern and rendering the drawing using the classical order
of light. This is one evening of building basic skills that can be
applied to everyone’s drawing and painting, truly taking it to
the next level.
