JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is a professional Art Gallery based position that involves working directly with the Curator to assist in the development and facilitation of gallery exhibitions as well as provide administrative and curatorial support for the Richmond Art Gallery’s Collection in accordance with professional standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is ideal for those passionate about art, exhibition-making, and collection care. The ideal candidate will be adept in decision making, prioritizing, multitasking, working in a team and working well under minimal supervision. Join our team and apply to be a Curatorial Assistant today.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified candidates will have the following:

• Completed a University Degree in a related field of study including or supplemented by courses in curatorial studies, museum studies or cultural management/policy.
• A minimum of 1 year of related experience working in a gallery setting working directly with artists, art works, conservation and research.
