Clay Demonstrations with Ping Kwong-Wong

The Richmond Art Gallery is proud to be a part of the national Culture Days celebrations on October 1 and 2, 2016.  Join us for free family-friendly events at the Gallery in connection to The Transformation of Things exhibition.

Exhibiting artist, studio potter and instructor Ping Kwong-Wong will demonstrate a variety of ceramics techniques for participants of all ages to try.  Learn basic clay techniques like pinching, coil building and slab forming to create your own miniature sculptures.

 

Ping-Kwong Wong was born in China, moved to Hong Kong in 1956, and settled in Vancouver, Canada in 1994. Wong studied art education at Sir Robert Black College of Education and Grantham College of Education, and studied studio ceramics at Hong Kong Polytechnic. He has exhibited in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, United States and Canada, and currently has work featured in the Richmond Art Gallery exhibition, The Transformation of Things.
