Amy Chang and Tomoo Ihaya present new works in Gallery One that consider global citizenship and the value of human life. Chang’s ceramic works directly evoke the international organ market. The gangs or groupings of individual pieces are at once attractive and repulsive, playful and unsettling.

Amy Chang received a Bachelor of Business degree in Taiwan in 1980. She found a passion for art while working for the Cloisonné Company for eight years and studied ceramics in a private pottery studio. She received a Diploma of Studio Art from Capilano College in 2003 and completed a BFA from ECI in 2007. She was awarded a full scholarship for the 2007 summer session at the Penland School of Crafts, NC, USA.
