Art After Dark Remix Projection Jam

September 21, 2017

The Richmond Art Gallery and the Richmond Media Lab host a monthly evening of hands-on art, performance and electronic music making.

In September, we are hosting a BYOP Party: Bring Your Own Projector!

This month, guest artist Amy-Claire Huestis will lead some hands-on fun using “old” technology such as overhead, film and slide projectors to play with light and projections on the gallery walls in response to the Eternal Return exhibition. Bring along your own old projector, or use one of ours, to join in the creation of temporary installations in the Art Gallery.

Amy-Claire Huestis is Vancouver-based visual artist with a diverse practice involving painting, video, projection, installation, and performance.  Beside her active painting and drawing practice, she works with light, projection media, performance and installation – this work often involves her own personalized or invented devices, used in playful and soulful ways.  She has exhibited across Canada in both public and commercial galleries, and has received numerous awards and fellowships.

Reserve a spot to let us know you are coming via Eventbrite here, or on our Facebook Page here.

Free drop-in.

Slide, overhead, and 8mm film projectors will be available for use.

Suitable for ages 14+.
