Astrid Fox, The Aura of Blooms

Flowers are a common subject often used in art. What is uncommon about Astrid Fox’s approach is to take this beautiful and familiar subject and superimpose it onto various unfamiliar backgrounds. Her purpose is to create a tension between the foreground and the background, continuously exploring the effects different combinations produce.
Gateway Theatre
The Richmond Art Gallery’s Art Access exhibits artwork in the lobby of the Gateway Theatre. The artwork is selected for its relevance to the performances on the Gateway Main Stage and in the Studio.

Pierre Coupey is a local artist and writer who takes inspiration from his poetry and from landscape and incorporates it into his paintings and prints. He has exhibited solo and group shows in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Dublin, Nagoya, and Tokyo. His work - writing, printmaking, painting - has received numerous awards, gants, and commissions, and is represented in private, corporate and public collections in Canada and abroad.
