As a sculptor/mosaicist, I want my work to have an immediate impact. My aim is to celebrate life and death, which are two sides of the same coin. I wish to mimic life’s powerful forces in hopes of evoking emotions in others. With vibrant colours and swirls of tesserae, I produce an objet d’art. It is nothing more than an object, but sometimes it can humanize an otherwise sterile setting. It can even remind someone of an inner feeling that traces a path to a personal memory, and leads to introspection.
